Build Processing Errors
When attempting to build a backup, WPEngine may return errors or notices.
Solutions

Go to Duplicator » Settings » Backups » Advanced.
- Set “Thread Lock” to “Both (SQL & File)” (this setting was previously labeled “Lock Type”).

The installer is now automatically saved with a hashed filename ending in .php.bak (e.g. installer_[hash].php.bak), rather than a plain installer.php. Because WP Engine blocks the creation of new PHP files but this file downloads with a .bak extension, it avoids the block automatically.

Duplicator Lite
WPEngine does not currently support Duplicator Lite. If you’d like to see support for it, consider reaching out to WPEngine and requesting compatibility with the product.
