Do you feel out of control when it comes to juggling cloud backups?

Many tools can store your site backups in the cloud, but it’s important to find one that is flexible and affordable. Plus, you’ll want to have full control over your data, restoring it whenever you need to.

In their search for a centralized backup system, Conceptstore Creative found Duplicator Pro. Let’s see how this agency made automatic cloud backups headache-free!

Meet Conceptstore Creative

Conceptstore Creative has faithfully served the UK market for over 15 years. The digital studio, led by Chaten Parmar, provides design, development, marketing, and maintenance services.

Conceptstore Creative Studio

Whether you run a start-up, small business, or personal website, Conceptstore Creative can help you manage your brand. They tailor their services to perfectly satisfy their clients’ unique needs.

Depending on the client, Conceptstore Creative manages everything from initial web design to ongoing maintenance and marketing. This ensures small businesses are set up for success and continue to run smoothly.

The Challenge of Managing Client Backups

We understand the struggle of managing backups, especially when you’re dealing with client websites. You might have to juggle multiple systems while ensuring reliable access to these backups.

At Conceptstore Creative, the existing backup solutions were not as efficient as they needed to be. They already had two systems running, and each had their own set of problems.

One backup system saved copies of their clients’ sites every month. But, apparently accessing these backups was difficult.

Their second method supported daily backups. Although this had quick restore options, Conceptstore Creative needed an easier way to access and inspect files whenever they needed to.

Ultimately, the agency needed complete control over its backups.

Creating Automatic Cloud Backups With Duplicator

While there were many backup services available, the heavier price tags meant a decrease in revenue or an increase in pricing – neither pretty for a business.

Chaten Parmar, the founder of Conceptstore Creative, wanted to find a cost-effective yet flexible backup tool that could safely store backups off-site. Best case scenario, the system could perfectly adapt to the resources they already had, like Google Drive.

They had used Duplicator for site migrations in the past. It was a familiar tool that was flexible enough to also handle backups for Conceptstore Creative. Since it was already in their toolbox, they didn’t have to worry about purchasing an expensive premium backup service.

We were familiar with Duplicator, but we were using it for a different purpose now. We had to learn some of its other toolsets, but to be honest, it’s fairly straightforward to use.

Chaten and his team configured Duplicator to automatically back up client websites and save them in unique directories in the cloud. This provided an extra level of security by keeping the data off-server and also allowed for easy access.

Select Google Drive storage

We’re in full control of these specific backups that are created, so they count as our “fail-safe” copies if all else goes wrong.

Conceptstore Creative adjusted Duplicator’s settings to only store 3 backups in the cloud. Older backups are automatically deleted, optimizing storage space.

3 backups maximum stored in the cloud

Duplicator also alerts the team for backup successes and failures. Because of this, Conceptstore Creative could promptly react to potential problems and prevent any data loss.
