Note: 1&1 completed its rebrand to IONOS in 2018. If you were a 1&1 customer before that, your hosting account is now managed through the IONOS control panel.

Build Processing Settings

  1. Go to Duplicator » Settings » Backups.
  2. Set Archive Engine to ZipArchive.
  1. Also, under Duplicator » Settings » Backups:
    • Set Server Throttle to “A Bit” or “More” to reduce server load during backup builds.
    • Adjust the Max build time (in minutes) field if your backups are timing out before they finish.

  1. Rebuild the backup and exclude large/unnecessary files (e.g., backups from other plugins).
