Name your new bucket. This should feature your domain and start with a lowercase letter or number.
After this, select the nearest data center region to you. Hit Next.
You’ll see a few extra settings like bucket versioning and object locking. Keep the default settings. Once you get to the Review page, click on Create Bucket.
Go back to your Wasabi console and open the Access Keys tab. Next, create a new access key.
In the pop-up window, select Root User. Then, click Create.
This will generate the access key and secret key for your Wasabi bucket.
You should copy these keys and save them in a secure location. Alternatively, download them as a CSV file. Either way, make sure you can easily access them for the next step.
Now that you’ve set up Duplicator and Wasabi, it’s time to connect them! This way, you can instantly save new backups to the cloud.
To do this, you’ll need to go to Duplicator Pro » Storage » Add New.
Name the new storage location. Then, choose Wasabi as the Type.
Under Authorization, paste your access key and secret key. You’ll also need to fill out your bucket name and region.
If you want to optimize your cloud storage space, consider customizing the Max Backups field. Duplicator will delete old backups once you reach your set limit.
As a final step, hit Test Storage at the bottom of the page. Duplicator will create a small file on Wasabi and delete it, ensuring the integration works correctly.
At this point, you’re free to start backing up your website to Wasabi. All you’ll need to do is create a new backup.
Name the backup. For the storage location, select Wasabi.
Then, you can customize what data is included in the backup. For a full backup, be sure to select the Full Site preset.
However, you could choose to only back up data like your media library, database, or other files.
After you hit Next, Duplicator will scan your site. Be sure to review any notices before building the backup.
Now, Duplicator will back up your site and automatically transfer the backup files to Wasabi. No need to download your backup and upload it to the cloud yourself!
To eliminate one of your WordPress maintenance tasks, consider setting up automatic backups. This will back up your website on a schedule, allowing you to sit back, relax, and devote attention to other important projects.

First, go to Duplicator Pro » Schedule Backups » Add New.
Give the schedule a descriptive name. If you want to back up your entire site, choose the Default backup template. However, you could create a new template for custom backups.
Just like with a backup, select Wasabi as the storage type.
Then, you can choose how frequently you want your site backed up. Duplicator supports monthly, weekly, hourly, and daily backups.
You can also select a specific Start Time. Once you’re finished, enable and save the schedule.
The whole point of backing up your WordPress site is to restore it after potential cyber-attacks and other critical errors. Instead of troubleshooting the error or cleaning up your site, you can simply restore a backup that was taken before the problem happened.
Once you set up automatic backups, your backup files will automatically be sent over to Wasabi. But if you need to restore them, you won’t even have to leave WordPress.

This will launch the restoration wizard! Here, click on Restore Backup.
